Talk with Elly McCausland, Ghent University. What have William Shakespeare and Taylor Swift in common? Europe’s first Taylor Swift lecturer Elly McCausland teaches her student s exactly that. She calls it “Swifterature” – the interconnection between English literature and Taylor Swift – and her students love it! One month before Taylor Swift’s famous Eras Tour reaches Germany, Taylor Swift expert Elly McCausland will talk about the phenomenon Taylor Swift, her tour, and how she managed to become a global pop icon.

Elly McCausland is Associate Professor of English Literature at Ghent University, Belgium, where she teaches the course ‚English Literature (Taylor’s Version)‘. She has also written several books on children’s literature, and is an award-winning food writer.
