Online Talk & Analysis with Christopher Taylor, Mayor of Ann Arbor, Michigan

People-to-people ties have united Germany with the United States for decades and form a resilient backbone to the transatlantic relationship on a subnational level. In times of a changing transatlantic relationship, we’ll zoom into one of its most basic building blocks: namely, sister cities as longtime partnerships that turn values into lived experience. Mayor Christopher Taylor and d.a.i.-Director Katharina Luther and will discuss the future of the transatlantic ties, the Sister Cities of Ann Arbor and Tübingen, as well as the overlaying question of “What Unites U.S.?” This conversation will address how societies and we as individuals stay together within new political realities and how shared values, common challenges, and local partnerships can build bridges from city to city and from people to people.

In cooperation with Fachbereich Kunst und Kultur, Universitätsstadt Tübingen, the Association Friends of the City Partnership Tübingen – Ann Arbor, Kupferblau – Das Campusmagazin and the Institute of Political Science, University of Tübingen
