Cold Times? The United States, Russia, and China

Talk with Fiona Hill, Washington, D.C. Fiona Hill is a very special guest from Washington, D.C. She served as a National Intelligence Officer for president George W. Bush and Barack Obama (2006 – 9) and as a Special Assistant to the president Donald Trump (2017 – 19). She is a wellknown foreign policy expert, was senior director for European and Russian affairs on the National Security Council and testified against Trump in the first impeachment process. Hill has researched and published extensively on issues related to Russia, the Caucasus, Central Asia, regional conflicts, energy, and strategic issues and works as a Senior Fellow at Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C. Fiona Hill grew up in Durham county, Tübingen’s Sister City in the UK.

After her online visit at the d.a.i. last fall, Fiona Hill will be present at the institute and speak about the situation in Ukraine with its consequences for the United States and the rest of the world, and she will analyze China’s relationship to Russia and its role in the war. The current tensions between the USA and China will also be discussed before Hill offers an outlook on the U.S. Presidential Election 2024 and current U.S. internal politics.
